Alumni of the Month: Katrina Law

I’ve always been someone with fireworks in their head. All my life, I’ve had lots of energy, lots of ideas, a LOT of attitude, and my attention was (and sometimes still is) always five different places at once. Nothing ever seemed to quiet the fire in my head and body. But that all changed when I started studying Yoga. Not only has it opened my mind and body to new possibilities, it has given me the ability discover peace, and thrills, at the same time.

Teacher training has amplified everything I’ve gained from my yoga practice. Not only do I have a better understanding of what I’m capable of achieving (and how much more I still need to learn!), it’s given me the knowledge and experience to bring those gifts to others. The community has also been so supportive—I have had such a great time meeting the other wonderful yogis learning with me.

I still remember the first class I taught, and all the time I spent thinking through the sequences and the playlist, but once the class started (thankfully people showed up!), I realized how prepared I was.  “As one thinks, so one becomes.”
