Yoga Equals Solidarity

Join Lauren, Keith, Taquice, Chris, Rebecca, Darby, and Mitch for the Y.E.S. Marathon – Yoga Equals Solidarity for 11 hours of unique classes. All profits go to The Black Lives Matters, “whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes. By combating and countering acts of violence, creating space for Black imagination and innovation, and centering Black joy, we are winning immediate improvements in our lives.”

The day will feature virtual Asana, Meditation, Mantra Yoga Nidr and Vinyasa Flow.

You donate what you can and then join any class you’d like through out the 11 hour Marathon!!!!

Lauren Hanna Yoga

8 – 9am Lauren Hanna: Opening Meditation on Unity – Join Lauren for Meditation, Pranayama and Mantra Practice to celebrate the divine current that unites us all together as one.

9 – 11am Keith Partington: DHARMA, ASANA, PRANAYAMA, Dhyana – Join Keith for two hours of philosophy, practice and presence, all rooted in the Hatha tradition.

11am – 1pm Taquice Campbell: Mindful Journey on the Mat – The ideal thought is that every journey has a beginning to cultivate intention, middle to experiment and discover, and an end to bask in the grace of arrival. As we come to our mats, we will create the start to our journey with guided pranayama and intention setting. We will travel in movement with the breath for a series of vinyasa flows in the body of our journey. And, finally, we will celebrate bringing all full circle in a guided yoga nidra. Join me for our Mindful Journey on the Mat. “

1- 3pm Chris Temple: The Long Hold – Bend the mind/Open the Body – Flexibility starts in the mind. Unless we can get the mind to play along, the body will resist. We will often “tap out” of a pose long before we need to. Discomfort discourages us and we retreat with out a proper fight. In this practice we will explore thee three key tools required in opening the body to new levels of freedom. Join Chris in this in this powerful exploration of unlocking your greatest potential and freeing the “stuck stuff” that is holding you back.

3 – 5pm Rebecca Soule PhD: Flow & Restore 3 – 4:30 PM Move to release, release into deep restoration. Rebecca teaches gentle yet powerful movements that both open and strengthen your body. She follows this with a healthy dose of restorative rest. To continually fight for justice, we must maintain our personal health and inner peace. During times of continuous uncertainty, it is critical that we make deposits into our “resilience bank”, which feeds our mental, physical and immune systems so they function optimally. This class will contribute to your self care and resilience bank. Experience relief of tension and a restored sense of ease and peace in your body and mind. Recommend to follow with meditation, immediately after this class. Meditation 4:30-5 PM Once our bodies are strong and at ease, we can sit in meditation. This 25-minute guided meditation practice includes pranayama and kriya techniques that help to systematically quiet your mind and release mental tensions. Experiences deep inner peace that results in your ability to move in the world with greater discernment, focus and inner stability.”

5 – 6pm Darby Canessa: Earth Flow to honor Our Root Center – In this hour vinyasa class, we will move nice and slow, grounding ourselves and honoring our connection to the sacred earth. The positions will mostly be close to the ground, with space for pause, rest, reflection, and surrender. From the earth we rise! All levels are welcome!

6 – 7pm Mitch Polon: Crow Workshop. Bakasana, aka “Crow Pose” is often the first chance a newer practitioner has to invert on their hands. Liberating and powerful, Crow Pose offers a window of opportunities for confidence, study of the body, facing fear and the chance to soar! Join me for 60 minutes of personalized tips and tools that can lead you one step closer, if not into, this transformative, foundational arm balance.
