Namaste Dear Teachers
We had such a beautiful time at the Navaratri Kula. It always makes my heart glow to be at Sonic surrounded by the amazing energy of the YTT graduates. I am so proud of the deep level of commitment I see blossoming in so many of you. Living a Yogic lifestyle can be so deeply rewarding and healing, but I know how much energy and courage it can take to dedicate yourself to the process of self-transformation.
As we move into Vata season it is so easy to get distracted and pulled away from our practice, but now we need it more than ever! I encourage you to take time each morning to ground yourself before getting on technology. Make yourself a cup of warm lemon water upon rising or even better a Tumeric Latte (recipe below) which you can prepare the night before and just heat and enjoy ! Bring your warm drink to your altar and just take some time to sit and breathe. I find working with a mala to be wonderfully grounding this time of year. And journaling is also a satisfying way to keep yourself centered. Our energy tends to disperse during Vata season so keeping a daily routine is super important. Don’t forget to massage your body with some warm sesame or Vata oil to keep your mind anchored in the present and your nervous system calm from fear and anxiety. Not to mention it will make your skin shine !
I love you all and look forward to seeing you at the studio very soon. Sending you warm stabilizing love and joy.
Always your teacher,
Lauren
