Complete Contentment

Namaste Yogis,

We’re in the holiday season as well as the close of 2018! Hooray for another year of Sonic Magic! We couldn’t have done it without you.

Santosha is the second niyama (“virtue”) described in Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras. It may be translated as “complete contentment.”

This is the time of year that I need to remind myself that I, and my life, are already perfect, there is no situation, job, relationship or object that is the key to my happiness. I must not let my mind embrace this illusion. Happiness starts with a choice, MY CHOICE. My choice to accept that I am exactly where I need to be AND I have everything that I need to be perfectly happy, RIGHT NOW! If I can find this state of Santosha then as I then I am aligned with a state of ananda (“bliss”) As work for anything, as I strive to acquire, as I discipline myself to let go, as l long for change am coming from a place of Santosha, my joy cannot be taken away regardless off the success of my actions. Wow! What a gift life is willing to give us if we will just learn to love ourselves completely, right now, in this moment.

One super effective way to rewire the brain to a place of complete contentment is with the power of affirmations. Repeating positive thoughts as if they ALREADY ARE rather than these thoughts being something that you are trying for. Science has proven the power of the affirmation can not only increase your successes in life but also bring about a better quality of life and of well being.

HERE is an chakra affirmation that I found and love and have included in my own meditative practice. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do and I pray that it works wonders in your life to help you align with all the wonderful things that are already you.

Namaste and See you on the mat!!!!
