Namaste Yogis,
I hope you are having a great time being in the moment and preparing for the Holidays and the New Year. Remember that hindsight is always 20/20 until January because then 20/20 is the present. On Saturday I had such a great time at the Sonic Creative, both performing and watching members of the community and friends perform and share their gifts for such an amazing cause, Immigration Equality, supporting our LGBTQ Immigrant friends. I was reminded of how important it is for us to share our gifts. I am reminded of a scripture verse that I learned when I was a child; “Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” I think that sharing your gifts is the key to sharing your love. We are all given gifts, sometimes it’s an obvious talent, like being able to play an instrument, dance or sing, sometimes its the gift of patience or organization, or maybe it is being able to listen or give good advice. Whatever it is take the time to share it with another person or for a good cause and more joy and love will be given to you. In giving you will receive. Happy Holidays to everyone.
