ALUMNI OF THE MONTH: ALLISON FIELD

Where has Yoga has taken you?
Yoga has taken me to my truest self.
I started practicing yoga in college and was so drawn to the history and practice that I knew it was something that would become a big part of my life. Yoga has given me community in every city I have lived in and a foundation to come to. Yoga grounds me and connects my spirit back to the source energy of the universe. Each time I flow and get rooted back into that connection I cannot help but smile! 🙂

How did your yoga teacher training influence your life?
After my 200hr at Sonic in the fall of 2017, I left my job in the entertainment industry without knowing my next move, but having full trust in the Universe and the direction it would take me. I now work with the family owned and sustainable tea company Paromi Tea and I teach private yoga sessions and workshops in the city! My yoga training reminded me of the power of now and how much joy and beauty there is to experience everyday. It helped me to clearly see what I prioritize in life, let go of judgments, and fulfill my fullest and happiest life.

What was your first yoga class experience
My first yoga class was at 4th Avenue Yoga in Tucson. I was starting my freshman year at The University of Arizona and the studio was a few blocks west of my dorm in the bohemian/artsy street in the city, 4th Ave. I was drawn to the peaceful atmosphere the moment I stepped in. My teacher was a kind, beaming with light woman named Marielle. I felt rejuvenated and connected to something bigger than myself when I walked out of her class that day. I. was. hooked.
