I am sitting on my bed in Rishikesh, India and I cannot believe the day that I just had with a beautiful group of teachers and students from Sonic Yoga. We meditated on the Ganges river, practiced yoga, learned to prepare (and had the chance to eat) traditional Indian dishes with our Indian friend and we participated in an Arti in Triveni Ghat (a fire ceremony to the deities.) We are all so blessed to have had this journey and have seen and done some truly spectacular things. The funny things is, I don’t think that this experience is really about going somewhere exotic and new. Sure it helps to get away and try something you have never done to discover life on a whole new level but I think the true joy of this pilgrimage comes from surrounding myself with people who are seeking transformation and growth. These people are seeking a deeper connection with themselves, with others and with life. The great part about all of that is it can be done any time any where. I’m so grateful that I’ve had this opportunity to grow and share and to realize that I can continue this wonderful journey when I’m back home because I have the privilege of calling this amazing studio my home. Sonic Yoga has that exact recipe of a practice that can really change you for the best and like minded souls who can support you and cheer you on in your journey.
See you on the mat after I’m back,
Christopher Temple
