Namaste Dear Teachers

Namaste Dear Teachers,

A poem from Kabir has been my inspiration the past few weeks:

Ever immersed in bliss, having no fear
In my mind, I keep the spirit of union
In the midst of all enjoyments.

The infinite dwelling of the Infinite Being is everywhere:
In earth, water, sky and air….
He who is within is without;
I see Him and no one else.

Contemplating these words inspires me to see the divine in everything, everywhere, every moment. Knowing that everything is divine and therefore one is a profound awareness that can forever change our sense of who we are.

My teacher Sally Kempton, shared a meditation practice with me. God is in Everything. And I believe it may have been inspired by this poem.

It is a simple practice that you can do anywhere at any time.   Just reflect on the concept that the divine is everything, it is in your breath as you sit in meditation, it is in your body as you move through life and flow through your asana practice. Divinity is in all of your thoughts; in fact, your thoughts are a manifestation of consciousness divine energy. The divine is within you, every particle of your being, but it is also outside of you, in the five elements, in all forms of life, and by virtue of the divine being the creator of all that is, it is also in every object that we see and connect with as we move through our day.

So the next time you sit in Meditation, try this out, and then as you rise and flow through your practice and move through your life, allow yourself to open to the idea that divinity is in everything and therefore we are all a part of this great pulsing divine energy. And then sit back and rest into the state of sahaja where the awareness of oneness never changes.

With infinite love,

Lauren
