Namaste Dear Teachers,
I hope you are all well and happy and excited to embrace the brilliance of spring. I am so excited to be leading the YTT Kula meeting on Thursday May 17th at 7:30pm. I know you all have busy lives and its difficult to find time to commit to anything, but I do hope you will come! We’ve created these YTT Kulas as way for you all to re-connect with one another and at the same time share interesting content to support you on your teaching and personal Yoga journeys.
The topic for this month’s Kula is the “The Art of Infusing Yoga with Essential Oils” where I will share with you my favorite essential oils for creating a powerful sensory experience during classes, privates and home practice. . Aromatherapy will help you harness the healing magic of plants to enhance your health and well being. It is a powerful tool to shift energy to awaken your mind and rejuvenate your body.
During the Kula we will experience the essential oils, explore carrier oils and learn how to blend to make a healing dreamy savasana oil. Come prepared to talk about your favorite scents and why you love them.
We will end the evening with an essential oil infused Yoga Nidra session to both deeply restore and energize your system. I really look forward to connecting with you all.
In the meantime, I’d like to share with you my Immune Boosting blend. It is perfect to rub on your wrists and temples before or after giving hands on assists. It’s also great to roll on when you are traveling on the subway or a plane to keep you healthy and strong !
Lauren’s Immune Blend
1 ounce of carrier oil such as calendula, jojoba, or oil of choice.
Add :
3 drops lavender essential oil
3 drops tea tree essential oil
2 drops bergamot essential oil
2 drops ravensara essential oil
2 drops euculyptus oil
2 drops rosemary oil
If you don’t have all of the oils just change the number of drops and use as many as you have !
