Namaste Dear Teachers,
I hope this newsletter finds you well and happy. As we all know living a Yogic lifestyle is definitely a challenge in this busy urban environment. In order to combat the daily stress that surrounds us it’s necessary to make conscious choices to move towards ease and simplicity.
As a special treat for your nervous systems, I’m going to be co-teaching a Summer Solstice celebration with Jeffrey this coming Thursday at Sonic. It’s going to be an amazing evening. In this multi-level experience, we are going to guide you into your parasympathetic nervous system for deep relaxation and healing.
My dear friend Thomas Wave will be playing the live sitar while we practice. It’s fairly amazing how relaxed and wonderful I always feel after having taught or practiced with the live sitar playing. Jeffrey will lead you through a ritual Summer Solstice practice. And for savasana, I will guide you through a special Yoga Nidra with yummy essential oils while Thomas serenades us with his magical music.
I did a bit of research and it’s actually been proven that listening to live sitar lowers your cortisol levels and reduces stress! Check it out here: http://blood-pressure.imedpub.com/music-and-its-effect-on-body-brainminda-study-on-indian-perspective-by-neurophysical-approach.php?aid=7607
There are only a few spots left so join us on Thursday eve to be swept away to a timeless space where life is free of everyday concerns and your inner bliss light will shine!
