Wendy Joseph + Sacred Healing Circle
Wendy Jospeh will join Lauren Hanna, Founder of Sonic Yoga in leading New Moon Sacred Healing Circle. A free online event on Tuesday, October 5th at 8pm.
The Sacred Healing Circle is for all women who are ready to begin healing their field, committed to raising their vibration and connecting to their true self, one of love, light, power, and bliss.
Wendy Joseph, was born in Washington DC, and grew up in London and Trinidad. Wendy attended the Boston Conservatory of Music where she received a B.F.A. with a Major in Dance. Wendy completed a 200 Hours Intensive Yoga Teacher Training Course in the Spring of 2014 at the Sonic Yoga Studio in Manhattan. Wendy completed the Connected Warriors Yoga Teacher Training Course in June of 2016.
After graduating from the Boston Conservatory of Music, Wendy travelled to Germany, where she performed in a German version of the musical “Sweet Charity” at the Residenz Theater in Munich. In her career Wendy has performed with the Tokunaga Dance Ko, The Wendy Osserman Modern Dance Company, the Kaleidoscope Dance Company, with Mark Franco, the Omega Liturgical Dance Company at St. John the Divine, and Samba Rio. In June of 2011 and 2013 Wendy performed with Dr.Martha Eddy at the Chelsea Piers in the Global Water Dances Project. This year in June 2021,Wendy performed a solo Dance Water Ritual for the Global Water Dances at the Riverside Park in New York City.
Wendy has choreographed works for the La Chapelle/ Douglas Dance Company in Trinidad and for the East/West Dance Company in Boston. Wendy taught Jazz Dance at the Boston Ballet Summer Dance Program, the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in Boston at the Caribbean School of Dance in Trinidad, and at the Studio Millie in Munich. Wendy taught beginning Ballet at the Lezly School in New York City and a Caribbean Dance Workshop in Selm, Germany.
Wendy created a Wellness Dance class, which she taught at the Center for Kinesthetic Education in New York. Wendy taught a Dance Workshop honoring Water, our most precious resource for the Aveda Store at the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle.
Wendy taught Movement and Art Workshops for three to five year olds and two African Movement inspired Workshops for eight to twelve year olds for the Art Horizons Summer Camp Program from 2012 to 2914 at the Neiman LeRoy Art Center in Harlem.
For several years, Wendy has coached dance students at the Clinton School for Writers and Artists with their 8th Grade graduation performance projects.
Wendy created a Dancing As A Ritual Workshop which she presented to the dance students at the University of Trinidad and Tobago and to the members of Continuum Dance Project at the Caribbean School of Dance in Trinidad. Wendy has also taught her Dancing As A Ritual Workshop at the Sadhana Yoga
Studio in Hudson, New York at the Sonic Yoga Studio in Manhattan and at the Jeannette Neill Dance Studio in Boston.
Wendy taught Yoga breathing techniques, body alignment, guided meditation and mindfulness techniques for the staff and management at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel for her Yoga teacher training community service. She also taught aYoga class for the hotel’s Health Fair in November 2015. In October 2016, Wendy taught a Yoga class and a guided Meditation for the staff of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in New York City. She has also taught Yoga classes for veterans at the Manhattan VA Hospital through the Connected Warriors organization
