Featured Alumni: Nicole Schrage 

I walked into my first yoga class in college. As a retired dancer I was looking for a new way to continue to stretch and strengthen my body. The class was a kundalini yoga class and needless to say, it was very different than what I thought I was walking into. I expected to find warrior 2 and pigeon pose but instead I found lots of bhastrika and holding my arms up for lengthy periods of time. 
 
From my first class to now, my yoga practice has shown me the mental strength that I possess and how it translates to flexibility and perseverance in the real world. My experience in yoga teacher training helped to show me the true extensiveness of the limit of the body and the mind which I still celebrate daily in my yoga practice.
