What makes us, us?
A lot of folks love yoga. It’s very popular!
People do it everywhere and speak to its benefits— which are? “I feel great after”, “I enjoy it”, “I can tell when I haven’t been to class in a while, so I need it get back into it!”
All fair enough, and feeling good is good enough. No? No! We know there’s more. We practice at home. We see all of our actions, all of our decisions, even our reactions, as our practice. And rightly so.
Yoga isn’t a mere activity. It is a state. Yoga is not a hobby, it’s a way of life.
But this must be tended to. Sometimes it’s self study. Often it’s a daily meditation practice. (You’re doing this, right? Good.) But, we can waiver.
Distractions are everywhere. We can also feel alone in this pursuit. We see our pals in class but they’re not there when we hit the snooze again and again. It’s tough to expect the fleeting interactions before and after a class to sustain our forward motion in this practice.
This is why we offer programs such as Mentor Circles and Master Classes that sit outside group classes and even teacher trainings. We offer them as we live this life, and support and structure was there for us. We can’t wait to work together on your journey.
