Namaste Dear Teachers by Lauren Hanna

Namaste Dear Teachers,

I’m sending you all love from the jungle.  I feel so blessed to have this opportunity to immerse myself in nature every year in the beautiful paradise of Matapalo.  We are moving through the new moon phase as I write this opening.  It is a magical time to reflect and contemplate your blessings and to honor your connection to all that is.

In the Tantric tradition we learn that everything that is manifested is divine. It’s an amazing thought that everything exists is a manifestation of one divine source.  I encourage you to take some time and reflect on this concept.   As I sit here surrounded by the wondrous nature of the jungle it seems so easy to imagine, but I know sometimes as we move through the difficulties of our life, this concept can become more elusive.  As in all good things that come to us in Yoga, the way to realization is through practice.

The first step is to honor the divinity within yourself, then to recognize the divinity in others and ultimately in all things.  When you can connect to the great divinity that holds us all you will feel yourself no longer separate but part of something greater something grander.

Here are some simple mantras to help you along.

Aham Prema

Begin by practicing self love, open your heart and create space for the divine healing source to move in.   I invite you to practice the mantra, Aham Prema, I am divine love, until you feel yourself falling deeply in love with yourself.

Hum Sa

When you reach the place where you are truly experiencing yourself as a manifestation of the divine,  then begin to work with the Hum Sa mantra, mantra of unification.  I am all that is and all that is is me.  The mantra is a wonderful way to connect to the unified energy of the universe that surrounds you. Once you feel connected to this source power, it is always there for you to pull from in difficult times.

Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu

As you begin to feel your heart open and feel connected to the source itself you can begin to send love out to all beings who are in need and cultivate a sacred circle of support.  Try the Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu mantra. Ultimately you will merge with the love of that circle and feel it being returned back to you bathing you in bliss.

As you move through your day remind yourself.  All is a manifestation of the divine.  Experience the divinity in all that is.  Let me know how it goes.  Sending you all New Moon Blessings and Love.
